KWA ensures prior approval is not required for Class Q conversion of agricultural barn to a Dwelling


KWA was appointed to the project after the applicant had used an alternative Architectural and Planning Consultancy and had failed in their attempt to secure confirmation that the proposed development fell within Class Q.

In redesigning the scheme and working with the Planning Officers both through pre-application discussions and during the lifetime of the application, KWA successfully demonstrated compliance with Class Q and that therefore the conversion of the agricultural barn to residential use was permitted development. Work is expected to start on site in late 2018.
