KWA has designed and secured planning permission for a new private equestrian facility in the curtilage of a Grade II listed building. The scheme incorporates an eight box yard, along with foaling and ancillary facilities, a 50m x 35m manège, a lunge ring, a horse walker and a service yard.

Despite initial concerns from the Conservation Officer and the Planning Officer regarding impact on the listed building and the wider views across the landscape, KWA worked with the Council to secure planning permission for all elements of the proposal. Careful consideration was given to layout, materials and scale to ensure that the scheme was subservient to the main heritage asset with the works visible from the wider landscape limited as far as possible
