KWA has designed and secured planning permission for a replacement equine yard, specialising in dressage on an extremely sensitive site in Surrey.

The site present significant planning constraints, being located adjacent a river, in the Green Belt, in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), an Area of Great Landscape Value (AGLV), an area of Historic Landscape Value (AGLV), an area of Archaeological Potential and in the setting of Grade II Listed Building, an Ancient Woodland and a Special Protection Area (SPA).

Despite this, KWA were able to design and secure planning permission for a replacement and extended facility on the site.

The final scheme expands the existing facilities on site creating an extended indoor riding school with café, viewing area and dedicated judges box, a 16 box American Barn, service yard facilities, Isolation Stables, horse walker, horsewalks, a dedicated equestrian entrance from the Highway and a 10 box private traditional yard with Groom’s accommodation above.

The project is due to start on site in Spring 2024.
