Practice
The practice is a specialist equine architectural and planning consultancy operating nationally and internationally from its base in South Cambridgeshire. Established in 1996, the practice has developed a strong reputation for delivering high quality, technically robust equestrian and rural development projects, underpinned by a detailed understanding of horse welfare, design and planning policy.
Architecture is led by David Daplyn a RIBA Chartered Architect, who oversees the design and technical delivery of projects across the equestrian, rural residential and leisure sectors. The planning services area headed by Meghan Bonner, a Chartered Town Planner providing strategic planning advice, site promotion, application preparation and appeal work with particular expertise in equine and rural developments.
The Board includes highly experienced professionals, notably Keith Warth, a RIBA Chartered Architect with extensive experience in equestrian design and rural architecture. Keith is widely recognised for his specialist knowledge of equine facilities and has authored several respected publications on equestrian development. His longstanding involvement in the sector contributes significant strategic insight and technical authority to the practice.
The practice undertakes a broad range of equine projects including private and commercial yards, training establishments, stud facilities, indoor and outdoor arenas, associated residential accommodation and diversified rural enterprises. KWA also works in the commercial and leisure sectors, particularly where these developments are being delivered in rural settings. A substantial proportion of commissions arise from repeat instructions and professional recommendations, reflecting the practice’s established client relationships and collaborative working approach with consultants, contractors and landowners.
