Director of Planning
Meghan is Director of Planning at KWA and a Chartered Town Planner with degrees from the University of Birmingham and University College London. With over 17 years’ experience at the practice, she leads KWA’s planning strategy across a diverse range of projects, combining technical expertise with a deep understanding of rural and equestrian development.
Meghan has a proven record of securing consent for complex and sensitive sites, including the first Thoroughbred stud farm within the Metropolitan Green Belt, as well as numerous projects in the Green Belt and National Landscapes. Her specialist insight, strategic approach, and passion for delivering exceptional outcomes have been central to KWA’s reputation as a leader in equestrian and rural planning.

David Daplyn BA(Hons) Dip Arch MA ARB RIBA
Director of Architecture
David is Director of Architecture at KWA and an ARB- and RIBA-registered architect who graduated from the Oxford School of Architecture and University College London. With over a decade of international experience, David leads the design direction across the practice, ensuring each project reflects KWA’s commitment to quality, creativity, and functionality.
A passionate equestrian himself, David brings an authentic understanding of the needs of horses and their owners to every design. His leadership has been instrumental in delivering some of the practice’s most significant equestrian projects, from world-class stud farms and racing yards to bespoke private facilities, alongside a diverse portfolio of commercial and residential developments. In his role at KWA, David has been responsible for designs from conception to completion and for working on projects around the world. -
Keith Warth Dip Arch RIBA
Practice Principal
Keith is Principal of KWA and a Chartered Architect who qualified in 1982. He founded the practice in 1996, establishing its reputation as a leader in the design of equestrian and rural developments. Over the past three decades, Keith has delivered projects across the UK — from Northumberland to Gloucestershire and Kent to Cheshire, as well as internationally in France, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and Kenya.
Recognised as an authority in the field of equine architecture, Keith is also a published author whose latest work, Design Handbook for Stables and Equestrian Buildings, serves as a key reference for professionals and students alike. His vision and expertise continue to guide the practice’s commitment to excellence in equestrian design.

Graham Theobald MCIAT
Senior Architectural Technologist
Graham is the Senior Architectural Technologist at KWA Architects with extensive experience delivering technical design across a wide range of sectors.
Graham specialises in preparing coordinated working drawing packages, construction detailing and NBS specifications, ensuring full compliance with Building Regulations and warranty requirements. At KWA Architects, he is responsible for translating planning approvals into robust, buildable and regulation compliant technical solutions, coordinating consultants and resolving detailed design to ensure smooth delivery on site.

Millie Brown
Part 1 Architectural Assistant
Millie is a Part 1 Architectural Assistant at KWA Architects, having recently completed her Part 1 architectural qualification at university. She supports the practice across a range of residential and rural projects, contributing to design development, drawing production and planning submissions.
Millie brings strong 3D modelling and visualisation skills, assisting in the clear communication of design proposals through accurate digital models and presentation material. Her technical drawing capability enables her to provide effective support to the team in preparing planning and design packages.
Having grown up with horses, including riding for her University BUCS team, and maintaining a strong personal interest in equestrian activities, Millie offers valuable insight into the functional and operational requirements of equestrian developments. She is an integral member of the team, contributing positively to the progression of projects from initial concept through to submission stage.

Lynda
Operational Lead
Lynda has been an integral part of KWA since its inception, bringing a wealth of experience from a background in international commercial contracts. As the practice’s lead for operations, she oversees HR, accounts, and administrative management, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of the business. Lynda’s organisation, professionalism, and long-standing commitment have been key to supporting KWA’s growth and success over nearly three decades.
