The brief called for a new equine business park to incorporate equestrian facilities, a hotel and an equestrian business park all to be located on a Greenfield site. The brief also required a detailed Masterplan to be produced to allow phasing of the proposed development.
The proposals for the equestrian facilities included an indoor polo pitch, dressage arenas, a cross country course and on-site stabling.
The proposed equestrian business park would incorporate commercial units for equestrian related businesses; in particular those relating to A2 and B1 Use Classes (professional services, offices, research and development units etc).
The hotel would serve those using the onsite facilities as well as nearby well-established equestrian tourist attractions.
