The brief for the project required two separate offices; one for use by KWA and one for use by an Accountancy and Payroll firm. The site was a disused petrol station and therefore particularly sensitive from a land contamination and ecological perspective.
The KWA-designed offices have been laid out to provide an open plan working environment for KWA and a more segregated working environment for the different departments within the Accountancy and Payroll firm.
The KWA office is two storey and the siting, mass and ridge height reflects the streetscene. The Accountancy office is single storey to protect neighbouring residential amenity.
The modern design of the property intends to clearly define the offices from the neighbouring residential units without create a stark or harsh disparity.
The property incorporates renewable energy in the form of PV panels.
